The Singleton of Dufftown "Luscious Nectar" is a 12 Year Old whisky from Dufftown Distillery. This smooth, naturally rich Single Malt Scotch Whisky has sweet fruity notes and a lingering, pleasurable warmth. Attractive and chewy, easily combining sweetness from ageing in American oak and fruitiness from European in a slow-distilled, traditionally made Speyside malt whisky.

APPEARANCE
Rich amber, polished mahogany highlights.
NOSE
Approachable and rich. First polished wood and nuts (toasted hazelnut) dominate, then stewed fruits (baked apples), dried fruits (sweet dates), and soft brown sugar take over. Mossy too, after a while. With water, a sweeter, more direct Speyside character develops (pure pear drops!). Clean and dense.
TASTE
Sweetness and crunchy nuts impress at first, then there’s a smooth, fruity Speyside richness to enjoy. Firm, with a balancing sweetness. Brown sugar and espresso coffee. Warming and pleasant. With water, still a pleasant texture. Light sweetness, then chewy and balanced by light acidity, with a good spread of flavours mid-palate.
FINISH
Medium to long, elegantly drying and crisp, completed by a pleasant, sweetly nutty chew-ability.
