The Hearach Whisky, a single malt Scotch whisky, is the inaugural single malt from the Isle of Harris distillery. The Hearach is a historic whisky inspired by the distillery’s home on the small Outer-Hebridean Island. It’s the first legal dram from Harris, and every drop has been made by local people to revive the distilling culture that was lost in the 1840s. It has been matured for a minimum of five years in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso and Fino sherry butts and is lightly peated at 12-15ppm. Presented at 46% abv, it’s free from chill filtration and has a natural colour.
