Tamnavulin American Red Wine Cask, the fourth instalment in the Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition series, is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that starts its maturation in American oak barrels. It’s then finished in barrels that once held robust, full-bodied American cabernet sauvignon, giving the whisky a rich red fruit flavour profile and a prominent oak character.
The distillery, nestled in the rural village of Tomnavilin, is situated on the banks of the Corrie Stream and the River Livet. They source their water from an underground spring in the Easterton Hills, which is formed by snowmelt from the surrounding mountains and naturally filtered through ancient limestone rock.
Available in a 700ml bottle, at 40% abv.
