Tamnavulin American Red Wine Cask is the fourth release in the Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition series, this Speyside single malt Scotch whisky begins its maturation in American oak. It is then finished in barrels that once housed robust, full-bodied American cabernet sauvignon, resulting in a whisky rich in red fruit flavors and pronounced oak character.
The distillery is situated in the rural village of Tomnavilin on the banks of the Corrie Stream and the River Livet. They draw their water from an underground spring in the Easterton Hills. This water is formed by snowmelt from the surrounding mountains and is naturally filtered through ancient limestone rock.
