Laphroaig 10-year-old cask strength is another excellent example of this classic Islay whisky. This is batch #015 and was bottled in December 2021 and as suggested by its name, the cask strength version is bottled at an impressive 56.5%. Cask strength whisky can be overpowering, but adding water can open the whisky and release sweetness and strong hints of the sea. This expression is often described as the closest bottling to the Laphroaig style of old, capturing the essence of Laphroaig as it should be. It’s a truly exceptional Laphroaig worth experiencing.
Available in a 700ml bottle, at 56.5% abv.
