Glenlossie Distillery, established in 1876, operated independently until 1919 when it joined the DCL group. Renowned as a Speyside blending powerhouse, its four stills were expanded to six in 1962. Since 1971, it has shared its site with Mannochmore. Notably, Glenlossie is rarely recognised as a single malt, even in its independent bottling form. Consequently, this 10-year-old expression is among the few bottlings and belongs to Diageo’s Flora & Fauna range.
Available in a 700ml bottle, at 43% abv.
TASTING NOTES
The nose is full of cereal and grist. Notes of peels and malt with wood shavings and hay. The palate is of good body with a decent sweetness and plenty of fruit with barley sugar and peppy oak. The finish is long with gristy tannins.
