Glenfarclas 105, Cask Strength, is a cornerstone expression from the Glenfarclas Whisky Range. It is believed to be the inaugural commercially available Cask Strength bottling when it was introduced in 1968. The “105” denotes the old British proof, which corresponds to 60% ABV. Notably, this expression lacks an age statement, but it is rumoured to be between 8 and 10 years old. It undergoes maturation in a harmonious blend of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels. The result is a sherried whisky characterised by profound depth and complexity, infused with a rich spiciness, subtle hints of oak, and the essence of sherried fruit. A mere drop of water will unveil additional layers and nuances from this exceptional dram.
Available in a 700ml bottle, at 60% abv.
