Glen Elgin 12 year Old, is a Single Malt Whisky from the Diageo Malt Whisky Range. Glen Elgin is a great whisky renowned for its honey-sweet character, often called fruitcake in a bottle. Glen Elgin's complex flavours come from it's pot stills and the distillery's hand crafted approach to whisky making. The result is a whisky that is full bodied but smooth with hints of fruity sherry, figs and fragrant spice.

APPEARANCE
Full gold.
NOSE
Sweet. Almonds, or marzipan, some orange juice, with hints of sawn wood. With water, Speyside esters, nut oil and buttery fat, prawn crackers, traces of fresh pears; a whiff of smoke or steam; dense.
TASTE
Sweetish, then dryish, with some acidity between; all well balanced.
FINISH
Dryish, balanced finish.
