Lindores Friar John Cor ‘The Cask Strength Congregation Batch’ – Chapter 2. This is the second Limited Edition release from the Friar John Cor Chapters series. Chapter 2, has been matured in a blend of Bourbon Casks, STR Wine Barriques, and Rum-Peated Casks and bottled at cask strength. The design of the unusual black bottle, mirroring the Exclusive 1494 First Release Bottle, draws on several elements of Lindores Abbey’s history. As with all Lindores bottlings it has no added colouring, is non-chill filtered and bottled onsite at the batch cask strength of 60.9% ABV.

LINDORES ABBEY DISTILLERY FRIAR JOHN COR ‘THE CASK STRENGTH CONGREGATION BATCH’ – CHAPTER 2,

Outstanding dram. Although this is bottled at 60.9%, don't let that put you off, it is remarkably smooth for that strength. Adding some drops of water brings out the taste even more & it becomes something exquisite. I would definitely recommend this whisky from what is an up & coming distillery. Oh and I should mention the excellent service from Malts & Spirits, well worth a visit.
