Description

Craigellachie 13 Year Old, a core expression from the rekindled Craigellachie Distillery, is a single malt that has been matured in a unique blend of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The bourbon casks impart vanilla, toffee, and fudge notes, while the sherry casks contribute richness and complexity to the spirit.

Available in a 700ml bottle, at 46% abv.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Bonfire night: aromas of oozing toasted marshmallows, and baked apples studded with cloves, with the tang of sulphury, cordite lingering in the background.

TASTE

Meatiness with hints of smoke and a rich, chewiness that enhances the malty character

FINISH

Long and rich with warm fruitiness and slightly smokey.
