The Bruichladdich 2014 Micro Provenance Muscatel Cask #55 is part of an ongoing series exploring the effects of various factors on the aging process of Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Distilled on 17th April 2014 and aged for 9 years, it uses Concerto barley and is matured in a 1st Fill Muscatel cask. Only 240 bottles were produced, making it a highly exclusive offering. It was bottled on 12th December 2023, featuring a distinctive provenance that showcases the essence of Islay whisky craftsmanship.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE
A harmonious blend of fruity and floral on the nose, typical of Muscatel, with ripe berries, apricots, and possibly a hint of floral honeysuckle.
TASTE
The Concerto barley may contribute a solid malt foundation, offering flavors of toasted cereal and a touch of sweetness.
FINISH
The Islay character brings a subtle, but long-lasting, maritime influence, adding complexity with whispers of sea spray.
