Blair Athol 12 Year Old is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Diageo Flora and Fauna range. Flagged as a whisky at the sweeter end of the spectrum this expression has been matured in ex-sherry european oak casks. The result is a whisky with lots of sherry notes, oak, herbs and sweet spice.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
Polished mahogany.
NOSE
Muscat grapes and Madeira wine, brimstone in the background, even tar. Dried apricots in the foreground, and treacle toffee.
PALATE
Rich and mouth-filling, with a good balance.
FINISH
A curious sweetness is introduced at the end after the acidity and dryish finish has passed.
