Sherry Cask 'The Bodega' is a welcome addition to the range of Arran Single Malts which are now available all year round. It is matured in some of the finest Sherry casks available to the whisky industry and is a return to the style of some of the earliest Arran Single Malt, which was mostly matured in Sherry casks. Production Notes
Matured for 7 years in first-fill Sherry hogsheads. Distilled and matured at Lochranza. Bottled at cask strength.
700ml at 55.8% alc./vol. natural colour, non- chill filtered
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Chocolate raisins, mandarins and a hint of spice, promising a full-bodied dram.
TASTE
Chewy, warm notes of ripe figs and sweet cherries, luxurious but retains finesse with a beautiful balance between the mighty Sherry Cask and the subtle Arran spirit.
FINISH
Long, powerful with a touch of pink pepper, hazelnuts and toasted oak. Statuesque and elegant.
