The Ileach, Peated Islay Malt, is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from an undisclosed Islay Distillery. The Ileach (pronounced Eee-luhk) is the name for a native of Islay. This is a young Independently Bottled expression, that delivers lots of peat while at the same time being smooth with maturity beyond its years.

TASTING NOTES
Tasting Notes courtesy of Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2008: Score 94 out of 100
APPEARANCE
Tawny
NOSE
A thick chunk of peat has been dissolved in my glass
TASTE
The oil-peat-barley balance is spot on as is the bitter sweet tone: just stunning
FINISH
The peat dissipates slowly to leave a slightly bitterish oaky influence but the spices compensate.
