Glencoe 8 Year Old is a cask strength blended malt whisky produced by the Ben Nevis Distillery. This Blended Malt was introduced to the market in the late 1960’s by Rory McDonald, a direct descendant of Long John McDonald who founded the Ben Nevis Distillery in 1825. The distillery is located near Fort William at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Since 1989 the distillery is now part of the Nikka Group. Bottled at a heady 58% ABV. which is unusual for blends.
